The new video is up!

Navigating the YouTube landscape

It feels as if it may have been a decade since I last posted a video on YouTube.

There is a good reason for it though. Anyone hoping to have some semblance of a regular upload schedule knows how difficult it is to have a handle on all the moving parts - like shooting footage, writing scripts, downloading videos, storing and organising files, uploading various projects into editing software and probably the most time-consuming and challenging part is the editing! The EDITING ladies and gents.

Despite having had recent software updates and hardware installed, I have found that my current laptop is perhaps not as equipped to handle video editing as I would like it to be. At the moment I am making use of ShotCut video editing software on a Windows PC (My PC might be outdated I think, but for those who would like to know it’s the Lenovo E51). With all the lagging and ineffective editing I can do at the moment, my motivation also lacks a bit.

There’s a Jim Rohn dude on the internet however who thinks otherwise when it comes to the whole motivation thing and at the expense of looking silly I have to agree.

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going."

- Jim Rohn

Even though I have been incredibly frustrated over the last few weeks with the editing process, I have finally uploaded my latest YouTube video and I shall try and habitually upload more videos onto the channel. Click the link below if you would like to see more on that:

That’s it for this week! Thank you for reading.

The Sweet Jam Journal:

I have been sleeping on this next artist for the last few years. I have recently come across a song called “Open Doors” by Jitwam. Hailing from northeast India and now based in Syndey Jitwam is well-known around the world. His discography is worth a listen (Or so I have heard, don’t take my word for it.) Another highly recommended song by Jitwam is called “roots”.
