I've finally done it

I posted my very first video to my YouTube channel almost a week ago. What? 😮 Yes! You heard it hear first. I made it, Mama.

Some of you might be saying, "Dude, calm down. It’s only one video," but truly, the video symbolises so much more for me. If you haven’t seen it yet, have a look here. 

For about seven years, I have wanted to start my channel. I’ve wrestled with the idea of starting a channel more times than I can count. the onslaught of self-deprecation and self-doubt came in waves, convincing me that I do not have what it takes to make a channel. I had always thought that my life was too boring, that I was a bit bland, that people would not want to hear me speak about anything and that I did not possess the skillset to make videos for a channel. Don’t get me wrong I still think all of those things and I reckon I can offer a whole host of reasonable excuses as to why I can’t have my YouTube channel, however, this time around something compels me to create.

After watching some of the most successful YouTubers it can become incredibly intimidating to think about how your content compares. I have decided to let all of that go, to stop comparing and just create. If you want to, take a look at my second video click the link below:

I hope you can apply this mentality in one area of your life this week, just do what it is you want to do and keep doing it.
